Eatin' Good in the Neighborhood and Roll Call (9/19)
Howdy 20 somethings!
Sorry I've been MIA with this post lately. I've been really discouraged about my complication not getting solved as fast as I would like so it has been hard for me to want to post at all. But here I am, pain under control for now (thanks to lots of pain killers - so sick of pain killers but at least they help), and down right cheerful compared to how I've been the last few days. Food was...well...you'll see.
8:00 - 12 oz coffee w/ 8 oz steamed skim milk, 2 packets splenda
12 oz water
11:00 - 3 oz beef jerky and a 2 oz string cheese
12 oz dark roast coffee w/ 8 oz steamed skim milk and 2 packets splenda (a new med I'm on knocks me out and I can't afford to be knocked out during classes so I'm upping my coffee good or bad)
4:00 - med golden delicious apple
24 oz water
5:30 - 3 oz peanuts and 2 hershey kisses
12 oz water
8:00 - Italian roll up (zesty herb and garlic wrap topped with sliced ham, pepperoni, salami, provalone cheese and a thin spread of pizza sauce toasted in the oven and then rolled up with lettuce and tomato slices)
And now I'm sipping a 12 oz camamile tea with 2 teaspoons of locally grown honey. mmmmm.
What about you? How did you do with food? How are you doing in general? I want to know! I'm sorry I've been gone but I'm really going to try to get here more often. I miss you guys.

Hey Amy! I'm glad the pain killers are working even though they are a pain in the A$$. When do you think they will know what they're going to do? I feel like they are taking their precious time! Tell them to get on with it, or us 20 somethings will have to kick your dr's you know what:)
yesterday was pretty good. i feel like i've been slipping and i need to get back on track!
Pre break: 12 oz of decaf tea with 1 oz of whole milk (it's all my mom buys! one ounce won't kill me!) and 3 splenda
break: 3/4 sb diet protein bar (15)
snack: 1.5 oz of beef jerky and 3 wheat thins with 2 cubes of cheese ( 26)
lunch: sb diet meal, all of the chicken, cheese and salsa and maybe a 1/4 of one of the tortillas (25)
din: my mom made shepherds pie (she's english!) so i had aboud 2.5 oz of ground beef with peas and about 1/2 cup of mashed potatoes and there was a lil cheese in there i think (17)
snack: 1/2 piece of SF cherry pie with SF whipped cream, it was a stressful day :( (3)
water: 100 oz about
protein: 86ish
cals: i would say about 1100
it was an ok day!
Other than that i haven't been up to much! just working, trying not to HATE men with all my heart and soul and being excited that i am going home in a week!!!!
I CAN NOT wait to see my friends and family and go home for my college homecoming! There will be a little bit of drinking but i am officially 6 months out and it is ok by my surgeons rules!
Also i got my blood results in the mail from my 6 month check up and they were all fine except my B-12 which is low, and it just says on there "please start b-12 and continue until your next lab draw as directed by your surgeon" so i don't know if i am supposed to take a daily pill or what, i know there is also a shot. I guess i need to call and check.
That's the news in my life!
Bleeeeeh I have not been feeling good the past few days so my eating hasnt been the greatest. There are lots of germs floating around now that the kids are back in school!
B - scrambled eggs, few bites of breakfast potatoes, 1/2 piece of bacon, 1/2 english muffin
L - few bites of cottage cheese then went to sleep zzzz
S - 5 pieces of cheese on whole wheat melba toast
D - 2 turkey meatballs, handful of green beans
Today I am back to work, still feeling cruddy but eating has been better so far :-)
B - kashi hot breakfast cereal
S - 1 serving of soy crackers
L - I brought 2oz deli turkey, small salad, yogurt and some Bear Naked granola... dunno what I will end up eating... sort of feel like some soup so may get that and eat with the turkey *shrug* dinner will be something light... more than likely more soup or some turkey and cottage cheese... something easy to grab out of the fridge! Then to bed early!

Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)

Today (Thursday)

L Taco Salad (only 4 chips) and 1/2 cup of cottage cheese, egg whites, and cheddar cheese
D (probably) going to bar for taco night. 2 hard tacos.
Will be 120 oz of water by the end of the day.

I haven't done this in a while but I need to...so here goes. Yesterday:
b: egg white omelet with onions and bell peppers and RF cheese
l: sliced chicken breast in a whole wheat tortilla with lettuce, onion, rf cheese, and horseradish sauce
d: same as above except mustard instead of horseradishc
s: 2 oz of pastrami, and 3/4 of a SF jello cup
about 4 bottles of water and 24 oz of coffee with splenda and SF carmel/vanilla creamer!
overall 854 calories, 39 g fat, 52 g of carbs, 72 g of protien - bottomline: I didn't eat enough - I need to eat at least 5 times a day, and I always wind up eating only three or four =(
