What's new with you?
What's up guys? Haven't posted in here in a while, been super busy with work again. Started back 5 days after surgery, because I was tired of being "home" and not doing **** So that's my excuse anyways.
I am down to 297 from 337 for a total of 40lbs lost since surgery 2.5 weeks ago. Pretty happy about that. I am going to start working out pretty heavy starting on the 24th, which is my 3 week follow up. I know some other people who have already been working out 2 weeks post op, and that annoys me, 'cause I could be losing a lot more weight if I was working out.
I'll probably go for a run tonight or something, get those calories burning.
What else? I am eating soft foods like cooked veggies and pasta, so I figured, lemme go out with some friends to a restaurant, which turned out to kinda suck.
Ordered this cajun chicken pasta from Chilis which is chicken, whole wheat pasta and tomatoes.
Damn was it good, minus the fact that I maybe had 3 bites. Which was semi-depressing when i was looking at all my other friends chow down.
But, I know I'm whining right now - fast forward 6 months when I lose a ****ton-o-weight, I know it'll be worth it.
Had a bite of chicken, was good, but had to chew like, 10,000times to make sure I didn't regret it. And then, i realized, it was "cajun" chicken. Which sucks, cause it was spicy as hell, and had to wait 45mins to drink some water, haha.
What's new with you?
You are doing great!! 40 lbs since surgery DANG, I wish I could be where your at, but alas I opted for slow weight loss. (Why dont things like losing 50 lbs happen over night? gee)
The only things new with me is that I can eat puree food, which is one step below normal food yay!..
And I moved into our NEW HOUSE and I am in love with it. yay
Congrats on your loss so far.
As a word of adivce when it comes to resturants... check the menu before you go and decide on a dish... also see if you can find the nutritional information. Many resturant dishes 'appear' healthy but they are loaded with calories/fat/salt. Yeah we are eating a small amount early out but its still important to make good choices. Its hard to break the habit of eating out... I always wanted to do it early out but it got frustrating because of menu choices or lack of nutritional information. Now I limit myself to 1-2 times a week perferring to cook at home instead. Before surgery for me eating out was a staple, now its a treat.
