well the endoscopy itself wasnt bad but before i guess i was so dehydrated and had so many previous ivs ran on that no one could find any veins so a specialist from er had to some in and do it....for an update on my previous post they found a stricture and ballooned it open...but the drama started after the endoscopy they kept giving me more and more " loopy" stuff during the procedure and so when i got out i was asleep then woke up completely out of it..AND MAD wow i was told after that i was trying to leave trying to pull my iv out and just acting like i needed to get h*** out of there!! does anyone lse get that way after theyve been heavily sedated or under anesthesia sometimes i am sometime not..very strange but some said it was pretty funny to watch they kept me there for a good 6 hours cause i was so out of it or passed out.. but yeah i think everything went well i hope this helps me out!!! thanks for everyones sugestions on my last post about it--kristin

First of all, it's great to hear that they found out what was wrong, I know you were having  a real hard time eating, and the stricture explains that! I had a similar experience with anasteshia once. I think it has to do with different types. I was given a general asteshia just through an IV - no mask like in surgery. This was for having my wisdom teeth removed. I woke up in plenty of pain and was told they only removed one of the four teeth they had intended to remove because I became so violent during the procedure that it was too dangerous to me and to them to continue! They said I was trying to get up out of the chair and I was swinging at them! I felt really bad and was extremely apologetic when they told me and they said not to worry, it happens rarely. The thing that sucked though was that I had to go through all the pain and suffering of recovering from that oral surgery and then a week later do it all over again for the other three wisdom teeth that remained!

Welcome home Kristin!  I'm so sorry you had such an ordeal with the ivs and endo.

My grandpa had major issues with sedation... he had so many things attached to him and he pulled them all out... even his catheter!  Ugh... that was horrible.  Now I have to list that episode as well as my dad being super hard to wake up after general lol!
