Eatin' Good in the 20's Neighborhood and Roll Call (Tues)

Hey guys, I managed to make it here and WHAT A DAY!  I was back to college today so busy, busy, busy.  My surgeon only signed off on me coming back if I would use this little electric scooter/wheelchair thingy so you should have seen me cruising all over campus.  It goes pretty fast so picture me, the wind in my hair, smiling like a goon going from building to building only occasionally running into walls.  I hope my driving improves by tomorrow.  I am thouroughly exhausted even with using the scooter thing to get around, so thank goodness my surgeon talked me into using it.  So here was my food day... 8:30 - 12 oz coffee w/ 8 oz steamed skim milk First class from 9-11 12 oz water  11:00 - 3-4 oz hamburger patti w/ tomato slice and around a 1/2 tablespoon of ketchup 12 oz water Second class from 1-2, Third class from 2-4 3:00 - 8 oz skim milk, 1 med golden delicious apple Newspaper Staff Metting from 4-5pm 5:30 - Insides of a chicken fajita 12 oz water 7:30 (now) working on 3 oz of beef jerky as I type in the computer lab I am POOPED and I don't get to go home until 10pm when hubby gets off of work to come and pick me up.  This might be harder than I thought. How is everything going for everybody else?  I want to know!  Come and say hello!

Hey amy! i bet you looked so great cruisin all over campus! I wish i could of seen you! I am so jealous you started school today, i miss college like crazy! My day was pretty good B: 3/4 SB diet protein bar (15) S: 1/2 cup sauerkraut 2 oz of sausage (10) L: SB diet wrap meal (25) S: 4 wheat thins with peanut butter and 1/4 cup sauerkraut and 2 oz sausage (10) D: 1/2 cup chicken pot pie and 1/4 cup mashed potatoes (10) about 900 calories 70 grams of protein i had my vitamin and like 96 ounces of water and a 10 oz cup of decaf tea. mmm. I also did my work out video! It's been so hard to get exercising lately, i've been so lazy i need a kick in the a$$!

Hey Reese, Have you finished school or are you just not started yet?  If you finished - what did you get your degree in and where did you go?  I am curious.  I am jealous of your workout video, I am dying to get back to some form of exercise, even fast walking would be wonderful.  I'm going to be so out of shape by the time this is all over *sigh* I never imagined I would be sad because my doc told me NOT to exercise lol.  Keep up the good food days and exercise!  You can do it!

Hey Amy! I graduated in Dec of 06 from Central Michigan University, i got my BS in Journalism and Advertising. I am focusing more on  the advertising side, that's pretty much what i do, but at my school they come hand in hand. So if i got desperate i could work for a newspaper or something of the sort but i would have to be REALLY desperate!  That is strange to be sad over not exercising! I mean i'm fine doing it and all but it's like, if i had a choice i would rather spend my time drinking tea and painting!  I'm sure you will be back at it before you know it! Don't hit anyone with your scooter today!

Well, i finally have something to report. I haven't seen the nutritionist yet but i called the surgeon and he said for now its ok if i have a little bit of what ever i want so i can see what sits well and what doesn't.

I woke up late so i skipped breakfast.

20 oz water

Lunch: 1oz. fish filet, 1tsp mashed potatos, 4 macarronies with cheese.

1 oz. diet v8 splash (can't find it on fitday at all) 

12 oz. water

Dinner: 1oz. tuna, 1tsp of mayo, seasoned with mrs. dash. and 7 doritos.

12 oz. water

its about 5 am and i'm still digesting ..

Hey Cristy, If you can't find something on fitday.com check out a website called dietfacts.com to see if it is on there.  You can import foods from dietfacts.com to your customized food in fitday and never have to enter the information yourself (this is something I only recently found out and it is really helpful).  If you can't find the V8 on either, there is a "customized food" tab so you can enter the info yourself and save it for easy reference next time.   How far out are you?  Your menu sounds about right for someone 4-5 weeks out.  Food will get easier and like your surgeon said, eventually you'll be able to tell what will sit well and what won't.  Keep working on tha****er, very imporant especially in this hot weather.  I'm really happy to see you posting to this thread!  I hope to see you more often

I probably shouldnt post on these since my diet is soo interesting.... Breakfast:  Vanilla Protein shake made with 10oz 1% Milk Lunch: Chocolate Protein shake made with 10oz 1% Milk. Dinner: Chocolate Protein shake made with 10oz 1% Milk. 650 Calories total. Lost 13 lbs on LD so far.

Yum!  It sounds like you're living in liquid diet hell.  It totally sucks but it looks like you're doing well with it - 13 pounds down is awesome.  Surgery will be here NEXT week already?  WOW!  You are in my thoughts and prayers Amanda!

Thanks Amy :)  Yes only 6 days away... Here in a minute I am leaving to have my Vena Cava or IVC filter put in.  I am oddly more nervous about this than I am the surgery... I am excited to see the total lost on this liquid diet.  My husband has been gone for 6 days and he came home and noticed the 13lbs so that flet kinda nice :)
