Odd question.

I have an odd question. Kind of embarassing too but maybe some of you have gone through this. When I stand for ohhh, I'd say over 15 minutes, not moving around, like in the shower..I have some numbness and pain. It's right under my belly..like where my front pants pockets SHOULD be if my belly wasnt there. My legs go a little numb there and start to hurt. Do you think this is the weight from my tummy or am I having trouble with my back again? (also, how the HECK do I change my profile picture?!)

Not sure about the numbness - I have a bad back too - herniated discs and degeneretive disc disease all in the lower (lumbar) region - the only thing that works for me right now is MS Contin (oral contiunuous release morphine)....Anyways, it could be stemming from your back - as you know your nerves all run throuh your spinal column, so if something is pinching or rubbing when you are in that position it could manifest itself anywhere in the body - for me, other then pain directly in the back, it is most commnly the outside of my right leg that feels tingling or numbness due to irritation of the sciatic nerve... The other thing it kind of sounds like is a circulation issue...Either way, sounds like something that if I were you I would ask a doc about, those are just the two things that jump out at me as possible causes, but, you know, I am know expert by any means...Except maybe when it comes to using this site;)  - to change your profile picture a.k.a. avatar - all you have to do is make sure you are signed in and click on "User Settings" in the light blue box on the left side of the screen - just remember the image you choose must be below a certain file size (I think 27k) if the file you want to use is not small enough, and you're not sure how to resize it do a Google search for "avatar maker" and you should find plenty of free websites that will do it for you....Hope this helps...and BTW - Welcome to the 20's Forum!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks! I'm glad to be here. I'm actually so bored today that I'm sleepy!   Yeah, the back problem is sorta worrying me, I really want to get the wls...i'm not taking meds right now at all, but my doc knows that I need them and am refusing the arthiritis and back pain meds etc. because they make me gain like crazy. I'm finally down to where I can safely have the surgery and I dont want to risk my bmi going back up before hand!

Sorry I can't add any insight... but I would definately ask your doctor about it... maybe a vitamin thing?  I dunno..... Welcome!!!!!!!!
