bad idea!
For me, it was the combination of carbs and sugars> especially if I made it with milk. Did you try a pre-packaged one or make it yourself? Plus, if you made it yourself, did you get all RachelRay-esque and doctor it up?
I had to learn early on I couldn't mix my carbs and sugars or I'm get super hyperglycemic and pass out... I've done it twice at work! lol
How well do you tolerate the juices?

The more things the change, the more they're still the same.
I second what Jaci said. And it depends on the shake. What is the sugar/carb content in the shake you tried? I was doing protien shakes at 8 days out (my first and until recently LAST protien shake was my 8th day out because I HATE them) and it went down fine I just didn't like it. If the shake you tried was particulaly high in sugar that might be your problem right there. It sounds like you had dumping syndrome (typically dumping is shaking, sweats, nausea, weakness and light headedness) and that is the result of either too much sugar or too much fat and some folks dump and some don't (I do most of the time and it sucks but it helps keep me on the straight and narrow). Go back to your surgeon's guidelines (you know that is the best plan now - sorry you had to find out this way) and I hope that when the time comes for you to add protien shakes you can find one that works!
