My Journey To Phoenix
Hey guys, I've got access to a computer so I thought I would check in and say hellow to give y'all an update.
I finally got everything out of my apartement loaded into my pickup and trailer and the apartment cleaned and inspected around 3 pm yesterday. It was sofa king hot yesterday in Columbia, SC my truck said 104....Man did I drink a lot of water, i had to resist the temptation to chug, but it was hard...
So I sailed through the apartment inspection which is good news, I'll get all my deposit back. I made it up here to Raleigh at 7 last night and got the back of my truck unloaded and was ablet to get my fiberglass tuneau cover on the pickup bed with the help of two of my neighbors - that sucker was heavy!
This morning I got all of the uhaul unloaded and returned it. Then I got everything I need to take to phoenix loaded in the bed of my truck safe and secure from the elements and theft under the tonneau cover.
My mom and stepdad are here and they have been a big help with the kids. We all went out to eat tonight to a local bar and grill type establishment and had a good meal. This is the first time my mom has seen me in person since right after surgery and she was amazed at how much different I look and how much weight I have lost.
Had a little bit of a wow moment just this evening...My mom brought three or four nice button-down shirts she pi****d up for me, They were all size XL, and wouldn't you know it, they are all baggy on me! Never thought I would be saying I'm having trouble filling out an XL!
Tommorow I have got to go sit at the DMV and try to get a new driver's license because my old one is too faded to read - I hope they believe it is me because I look so different from the picture! My realtor is also coming by, supposedly with a contingent offer for my house! The sale will be contingent on the buyers selling their current home in the next 60 or 90 days, but hey if it works my god it would be such a huge load off my back, we've been paying for this house and not even living in it since January!
Saturday morning I will head out....I will try to get on here again before then though....
I am glad you are doing good so far!!! DO NOT forget to call about auto and home insurance. AZ is picky about that. Make sure when you register your veh, you have an updated id card. Also on the home, your mortgage company usually requests that you have insurance on the new home before the papers are signed!!!! Hope to talk to you soon.
Yes, be careful in the heat!!! and that is soo awesome about your baggy shirts!!!!! good luck with everything coming up!!!
