Holy Sh*t! 6 Days away. . .
Wow, surgery is so close. 6 Days.
Pre-op is 4 days from now.
And I'm being a big baby. Having 5th thoughts about it, but I hear it's normal.
Diet is miserable. No smoking, drinking or eating. Jus****er. And broth. And Jello™-hell no, I hate Jello™ so basically, jus****er and broth.
I need to lose about 6lbs before surgery, so I am stressed out about that. Been running every other day for about an hour, and while today is an "off" day, I think I am going to run a bit later to sweat some more weight off.
So yeah, nervous. I'm a big baby. Soon enough though, I'll be on the loser's side.
Peace.

Hell yeah!
Stick with the liquid diet and keep your eye on the prize, man! The pounds are going to melt off post-op, especially during your honeymoon period of not having an appetite. You'll be batting off the girlies in no time!
Like you said, most people have 2nd thoughts. A lot of people have "buyer's remorse" afterwards too thinking "what did i do to myself?" It'll ALL pass, I promise! Follow the doc's orders and you'll be FINE!
I freaked out the week before surgery - kept myself busy making a packing list for the hospital and stocking the house with stuff I'd need in the first couple weeks.
I had to drink magnesium citrate (walgreens, cvs, etc.) the day before to "clean me out" and it made me poop a lot. It took a few pounds off, too. Don't know if your doc requires that, but it might help if you have a pesky 1 or 2 pounds to get rid of at the last minute. Go for the lemon/lime flavor and drink it with a straw over ice.
Guzzle the water! Try not to stress so much - stress does soooo many bad things to our bodies. Just think about all the kickass things you're gonna do once you've dropped some weight. It's an unreal experience!

1. Smoking is the hardest to stop.
2. The broth isn't so bad
3. Think about what you will look like in 6 months!!!
I was wondering if you were still looking for an angel for your surgery? If you are, I would be happy to do so.
As Tony Little would say (maker of hte Gazelle) You can dooooo ittttt!!!!!!
I was in your shoes...just last week! Think of this phase as a challenge to prove to yourself that you are going to be successful! I basically thought...If I can succeed at this pre-op diet (with no appetite suppressants, shots, etc)it will be a HUGE indication that I can seriously succeed at this for the long term! I dont know if you can do protein--but trust me the sooner you can get used to yucky protein shakes the better. lol
Feel free to ask any advice im only one step ahead of you in this journey so I am happy to offer up my experience so far!
