Hey guys, It was another "focused" effort today for me. I used fitday.com again and I think that since I have started entering custom menu items it is getting alot easier. There definetely is something to be said for journaling your food intake. Accountability, realizing if you are eating too much, motivation to want to enter good choices, etc... Amy mentioned she will be back at the hospital on Friday so please remember her in your thoughts, and if you are a prayful person, then in your prayers as well. We're pulling for you Amy and I, we, hope your doctors can help find the relief you have been so desperatly seeking.  My totals for today are: 1099 calories, 34 grams of fat, 84 grams of carbohydrates, and 110 grams of protein! ...and about 70 ounces of water...no gym today though b: 1 cup of 2% cottage cheese with a tablespoon of SF strawberry preserves, and 12 unsweetened frozen rasberries mixed in l: 1 slice of 100% whole wheat toast with 3 thick deli slices of BBQ Rottiserie chicken breast, two slices of provolone cheese, and a teaspoon of spicy deli mustard s: protein shake - EAS 100% Whey Protein chocolate flavor, 4 oz of 2% milk, 5 ice cubes, teaspoon of sf ff instant chocolate pudding powder, 1 teaspoon of insant coffee crystals d: 2.5 oz of homemade white turkey meatloaf (better then it sounds I mixed an egg, some milk, some seasoned breadcrumbs, minced garlic, onion flakes, pepper and parsley in it) and 1/3 cup of pasta saled from a boxed kit s: The same as dinner

Thursday I went to my nutrition class and felt like the star student, I was the only one in my class that had started trying different protein shakes, and the only one that had purchased a sippy cup and started using that!  So that was a definate boost.  Just thought id share :D Breakfast: Chocolate Protein shake, banana. Lunch: Lean Cusine Panini, and another protein shake Snack: Cottage cheese (1/2 cup) 7 Strawberries. Dinner: Hoddog, about a cup of peas, 1/4 cup of mac and cheese. No night snack :) I was a little short on my water I only did 4 sippy cups today, it holds 10oz so thats only 40oz.

Hey Reese, you have been really faithful to responding to this thread - it is so nice to see you!  Did you know that fitday has a "custom food" feature?  If there is something you eat often but isn't in their database just go to your homepage like normal and under where you would normally select some kind of food group, there is the "add custom" option.  Click on that and on the page you get to you can enter the food name, serving size and all the details from the nutrition lable so it'll be there every time you log on from now on.  You only should have to enter all the info once and it will save to your account for easier access next time.  Just a suggestion so it'll be easier for your to log things.  I hope you keep posting!

I'm so glad you're using fitday!  And yes, their custom menu makes things go a lot faster when you're trying to get things plugged in.  Thanks for posting about my hospital stay - I posted an update up yonder in the 20's board so you can see how things are going.  I'm looking at surgery the week of Aug 27th and until then I'm being fed through a tube so I probably won't be posting a menu but I'll still give feedback when I can think of anythign that might help.  Thanks for keeping this going!  Three cheers for Mike!  .  I am impressed with anyone who can stand protien drinks and sticks to using them.  I suck in that department.  110 grams of protien!  Woah!  Look at you go!  I hope you're feeling that added energy and seeing results from all your effort.
