hey everyone

Hi i am a 24 yr old student from memphis tn  and i am starting the weight loss surgery process. i have decided to go with the lap band surgery and i am so excited i wish i could have it today! even though i have started the process and already had my psy. evulation things seem to been moving slow. if anyone have any advice for me please share...anything helpful would be greatly appericated.

Hi! I'm a 25 year Wife from Rhode Island.  I'm in the waiting Stage of weight loss surgery.  Waiting for my approval from BCBS for Lap-Band.  It's seems to be VERY worth the wait.  All of the success stories on this site alone.  You will find plenty of friends and LOTS of support on this site.  And ANY time you have a question, ASK. Ahh, The Pre-Op waiting game! We all have to go through it, unforutanatly for some it takes longer than others, especially when insurance is involved. For me the path to surgery was five long months. Now it has been almost five months since my surgery and as I look back it seems like just yesterday that I was getting started. I know it is so frustrating because for most of us the uncertainty  breeds anxiety and also because we "cant wait to start getting our lives back"...The only advice I have is to be patient and stay on top of the process, call your clinic frequently and ask them what is next. I used to think that I would get on the nerves of the coordinator at my clinic but as they say, sometimes "the squeaky wheel gets the grease" Hang in there and if you have any questions throw them our way, welcome the forum!
