Never understood why some people do it daily.  I mean, do you measure like to the 1/10th of a pound or something?  It's a little extreme!

My surgeon's policy is that until I'm nearing my target weight, I'm only allowed to get on the scale during visits to his office.  He says that his patients are much happier and much more successful when they aren't weighing themselves constantly.

So have you honestly been able to stay off the scale between visits? I don't think there is anyway I could....

Ditto Mike. I always weigh. I think I am going to patent an idea that will be a portable scale. Where ever I go my scale must go.  lol... Okay nott! ~Diana~

I was thinking it would be cool if I could find a digital scale that will only work one day per week, keeping me from weighing everyday!

Even though I know I'm not supposed to, I can't help it I weigh myself daily in the morning. One that does help me from getting all bent out of shape when I don't see a loss is the weekly weigh in that I do every sunday here and on the Men's Forum. I tell myself its the only one that "counts" Also, if I'm not seeing a change then I know that I can exercise more or eat a little better to try to make it move,  (even though there can be other reasons like water retention, even duration of time between BMs!) Whether those tweeks do the trick or not, they're still positive and the more positive focus I can keep the better, IMHO...
