I"m sorry you're having a hard time ((((HUGS)))) it really is hard at first.  Keep working at it.  Carry a water bottle or cup with you where ever you go and take a couple sips every minute.  Try liquids at different temperatures to see if one is better than the other (cold liquids made my new pouch spasm early out - still sometimes does).  Try different kinds of 100% juices mixed 1/2 and 1/2 with water, try different crystal lite flavors - whatever it takes.  Pay close attention to how you drink making sure not to swallow air (can cause painful gas that a new little pouch has time getting rid of).   Something else that will help you feel better is to get moving.  As much as you can walk, even if it is only 15 minutes at a time.  It will make a difference in healing you faster and in getting the weight to start coming off (and walking is one of the best cures for trapped air).   I hope some of this will help you feel better.  Things should start healing up soon, so try to be patient and I pray the rest of your recovery is smooth!

one liquid that worked the best for me early on was room temperature tea. I used decafinnated iced tea bags and made a 64 oz pitcher each day, squirted a bit of lemon juice in there and let it sit out all day, sipping on a glass about two ounces every 15 minutes...feel better!
