Hi everyone.

I really hate to complain but I feel like I am just not loosing like I could be. I feel like I could be doing so much better. I know this question may sound totally stupid maybe not I dont know. But when snacking is it ok to have what the rest of the family may be having? Example a few pringles? I was wondering because I know now I can eat much less, but can I eat much less of the same stuff?

What are some of your daily diets like? I hope all is well.

Yes and No.  There comes a point that you have to decide that you are not going to eat the junk and have something a little more healthy.  Pringles from time to time are not that bad if you are only having them from time to time.  If they are an everynight/day snack then that could be the factor to not losing like you would hope! Howdy, How far out are you?  It is not unusual to have stops and starts as you heal and everyone is different in how fast they lose.  It didn't get packed on overnight and it isn't going to come off that quickly either, so try not to let the slowness get you down.  Try measuring your success in other ways - like how many medications you can do without now, how much easier it is to move around, how well you fit into chairs that were tight before, slipping into smaller clothes and stuff like that.  When weightloss is slow you might be still losing inches.  If you have never measured yourself pre-op do it now and then when times like this arrise take a look at the old measurements and re-measure - I can almost guarantee you'll see a change. As for pringles...well, my philosophy is moderation with most things.  What are you eating otherwise?  You had surgery in June right?  That would put you at about a month and a half out.  In that time frame you should be getting 800-1000 calories daily and depending on your height, weight and activity level you should be looking at 60-70 grams of protien a day and way less than 100 grams of carbs.  (Note:  I am not a nutritionist nor have I played one on television, so this is based on my experience and what I have seen/read being the norm).  To keep myself in chec****ep a food journal where I write down every bite and sip of everything I eat, EVERYTHING and then I plug it all in on fitday.com to track my calories, protien and carbs.  You might be surprised at how quickly a couple chips here and there can add up in calories and carbs so by writing it down you are going to be made more aware and be able to see what needs cutting back on.  I am not a carb-a-phobic, but I do know they are not the best nutritional choice.   I hope this helps!
