Really Worried!

I got my date a few days ago and I'm starting to get scared. I'm 556lbs and my doctor is a little worried about doing surgery on me because he's only done a few people bigger than me and he said he's had close calls with those people during surgery. I'm only 19 and I do NOT want to die of course and I know yall are going to say something like "You might as well die on the table than dying from heart disease" or whatever. x: I'm just scared that's all. No doubt that I'm going to get the surgery.. September 17th.. I'm just writing my feelings. x: Byee..

Jesse, what you are feeling is completely normal. You will even have remorse for a few days after surgery thinking "What have I done?". But in the end, it is all worth it. Congratulations on the date.

Hey!  I totally understand what you are going through.  I was terrified, too.  Just keep a positive attitude and everything will work out.  It is good to write out your feelings, it helped me feel less alone, and less scared.  Good luck!

Hi Jesse!  Congrats on your date!  Of course you don't want to die, but I definately know your fear.  Your surgeon must be somewhat confident in operating on larger patients, so you have to be in good hands!  Your spot on the looser's bench is waiting for you!  Its right around the corner!  Yipppeeee! hey jesse! i was horribly scared too! but i think the doctor was just telling you that because you have to know your risks. i don't think any doctor would operate not being confident in themselves! that's just silly! i think you will do great (being younger helps a lot too! those other patients may have been older!) So i wouldn't worry about it too much it will only make you crazy!

*smiles* Yeah.. That makes sense. Being younger might lower the chances of something going wrong.. I'm starting to feel a little better. Plus.. I'm not drinking no more sodas.. I usually drink at least 4 a day.. Sometimes even 6 a day.. So hopefully I'll lose some weight like my surgeon wants me to.. and no more ice cream!

Hey Jesse, Congrats on getting your date first off!...  It always feels good to get your feelings off you chest, thanks for sharing.  I agree with Reese, Your doctor needs to tell you the risks and his experience.  Its supposed to make you feel comfortable about your choice (crazy I know, how can risks make me comfortable!)  Just follow all his instructions so that it will go nice and smooth...  BTW you are only 10 days behind me.. WOOO WOOO
