28 but i'll be forever 21*
hubby hates when i say that, cuz that means he's getting older and i'm not!!! We are the same age though!!
Anyway, i am new to this forum, did not realize this was here, so i was just stopping in to say hi! My RNY is this Monday the 23rd, and i'm just starting to get a lil nervous, but nothing i cant handle!! I just can't wait to REstart living me life! Thanks all for you support and kindness as each one of us journeys down this road!
I'm 28 too....29 in November. I'm about 4 months out from surgery and wish I had thought about doing this YEARS earlier. I know you're nervous, but everything is going to be GREAT!
Bring your own pillow to the hospital - I was SO thankful for remembering mine. It also really helped me to have a couple friends visit me. Support from family and friends is priceless throughout this process. I was extremely surprised at how soon I was feeling well after surgery - it was my first operation ever.
Life really DOES start after WLS. You're already a beautiful girl, just imagine what you'll look like and how you'll FEEL in a few months. I can't believe it's already been 4 months for me...time flies when you're having fun (and shrinking and wearing smaller clothes and looking cuter and not taking weight-related medications anymore).
Good luck and keep us posted! The support here is unparalleled!

To quote the great David Wooderson from Dazed and Confused, "That's what I love about these high school girls, man. I get older, they stay the same age."
