Willl you ever be able to "eat like a normal person again?"
Dx rocks. He is one of the most straight forward and well informed individuals I have ever encountered - I remember reading his profile and posts obsessively before I had surgery and he gave me so much hope and awesome information. I don't see him around much on the main board anymore so it is good to hear his words of wisdom, even if I have to go to the men's forum to hear them. Oh and for the record - I am another RNY post-op who gets all their protien from foods (in my opinion, protien shakes are icky and expensive - I like a good steak WAAY better than I ever cared for any protien supplement I ever tried). I feel like I enjoy food more as a post-op than pre-op because I only eat what is good for me and of a high quality (my philosophy is: I only get 3-6 oz of food at a time so they had better be awesome ounces or I'm not interested). Normal eating is not constant over eating - so like Dx said, eating until satisfied and being concious about what we chose to feed ourselves is much more normal Thanks for sharing!
