Good Evening 20 year olds!!! Date changed!

Good Evening OH family,

I hope everyone is doing well!!!  My surgery date has been changed from August 3rd to August 2nd. Tomorrow, I have my pre-op testing and I am so scared!  I am so happy and scared at the same time, I guess I just do not know what to expect since I have not had surgery yet. What do they have you do during pre-op testing?  I know my life is going to change for the better but I worry I think it's more like anxiety. (I spelled it wrong I think)  I can't wait to have my surgery and be happy.  Can anyone give me advice on what I should be buying to have at home?  Is there anyone who can give me advice on how to calm down or how to keep happy and not nervous. thank you, xoooxoxoxo Liliana

You are going to want to have plenty of chicken broth and protien drinks (not shakes for the first week) and a PILL CRUSHER! OMG mixing the pain pill with applesauce was the best part of my day. I wasn't nervous t all... but then I didn't really feel like it was hppening. Plus they give you a nice big downer shot before the epidurial, which basically makes you forget everything from then leading u to the surgery. You will be FINE, enjoy these last few days :)

Make sure you have broths and water (I liked the light taste of the propels or crystal light after surgery).  I didnt feel bad after my surgery what-so-ever, I even went fishing out on the ocean at like 8 days post-op!  Good luck...don't be nervous, just know that this the beginning of a new life...one that you will REALLY enjoy!!
