Hey, welcome to our board!
Just based on my own experience, if you have this done laproscopically, which I am assuming you are, and IF, and this is a big IF, you don't have any complications. You should be home from the hospital and able to go to the concert. Normally I would say watch out for the phsical activity in the front row, but you said it as an accoustic concert, so I guess it will be pretty mellow.
That said, you will almost certainly be feeling like crap and I don't know how much you will enjoy. it. You will definatley want to stay on top of your pain pills that day. but you will still likely feel very run down and gassy. Not a type of gassy you have probably ever experienced. I'm talking a consant bloatedness, pressure and discomfort that rivals any bout of gassiness I have ever had. So I don't know....Oh, yeah - and anything that "get's passed around" at the concert is going to be definatly off limits - no smoking! Bad! Bad! Bad! unless you want an ulcer. So, hey maybe it wouldn't hurt to call the clinic and see if they can switch you with someone the follwing week, I'm sure the person getting an earlier date probably won't mind, you got nothing to lose right? unless you'ee got a lot of plans in place already and it will be hard to move the date..good luck, let us know how things go - I like Staind...and again welcome to the forum!
Thanks for the replies everyone. The doctor is doing it the lap route, and I figured I will probably be in the hospital 2-3 days barring no complications. My gf had it done with the same doctor and did have a drain tube so I am assuming I will have one too.
I really wanted to reschedule it but it would be a real pain in the butt since I just submitted my short term disability paperwork to my employer *sigh*. As far as the profile picture I am on the far left, sorry I didn't have any better pictures here at work when I set it up.
