what to expect at the Psych eval?

Just wondering.....I am going to my psych eval on Thursday, What should I expect?  I am getting a little anxious because I have had people tell me that they ask trick questions. Why would they do that? Should I worry about it? I am already approved and have my date for surgery, my surgeon just requires that everyone regardless go thur a psych eval. I think that I may be stressing for no reason......What are some of your expieriences?

Dont worry about it at all, They just want to be sure that you are able to handle surgery, and that what you expect is realistic,  I wrote a blog describing my eval, Check it out...  It was in june.

the longest part of the psych eval was reading and answering around 100 questions. If I can remember all the questions were asked 3 different ways to see if you would answer them the same. Questions were if you were having pain would you call your doctor, are you a stressed person, are you anxious, are you on any meds, family history, some questions were extremely funny. After the little test I just talked about myself and why I was having the surgery. No biggie. It was fun and I had a great psychiatrist.  Take care! Diana

Just be yourself and you'll be fine. They ask trick questions to try to gauge how honest you are being...don't worry, hey they approved me and I'm wacked out of my skull!

Just whatever you do, do NOT try to introduce them to your imaginary friend they will look atcha kinda weird for that  LOL J/K as everyone else has said just be yourself but be truthful. They can determine if you might need to be counceled emotionally after surgery!
