Hey you 20 somethings
I am exaughsted today! I don't know what it is. I get about 8 hours of sleep a night, but clearly that isn't enough. I am worried about my blood results but my doctor said he would call me if he found anything wrong with them and hasn't! I would just like to hear him say they are ok! What if he couldn't find them and forgot!??
Hahah i am one paranoid girl.
I kind of hope that one day i look like one of the girls in the picture on the "welcome to the weight loss surgery in your 20's forum" banner. Haha because they all seem to be a pretty nice size.
Anyways i have an interview tomorrow. (SO NERVOUS!) It's for a 3rd grade teaching job. I was more excited but now i'm nervous. I had to prepare this lesson plan and make this presentation board and stuff. I would of never applied if i found out what i did yesturday which was...
My boss at my temp job wants to bring me on as a permanent employee!!! I was really excited because i would be put in charge of this Journal Magazine they put out every 3 months. It would be really good for my resume seeing as my degree is in Journalism/Advertising.
If i take this teaching job then well if we move...which we are wanting to it will be like a year wasted because i don't need to be certified since it's a private school.
I don't know what to do! I am just going to go to the interview and see what happens. I can't wait for it to be over!
I am definately leaning towards staying here because it's like i get to write my own job description. So once i tell my boss i am going to stay (probably!) we have to talk salary.
Since i am a little baby i don't really know how to talk salary and not to ask for too much etc etc. People keep telling me that they should say a number first but she specifically said like,,, "what are you looking for?" So i don't know!
Oh well:) decisions decisions!
How is everyone elses day so far??
OOOh If your degree is in Journalism/ advertising take the permanent at your Job! That way if you do move you will have experience to get a better job where ever it is you go! It will be great experience.
My day is moving along slow like always, I got to work at 7 am and wont leave until 7 pm. We are really backed up. well I shouldnt be on here but damn, BORING. haha
It's definately what i'm leaning towards now! But i am forcing myself to go to the teaching interview because i bought a really cute outfit for it and spent a week making the lesson plan and presentation board! I feel like i have to try even though i probably wouldn't take the teaching job unless it paid an ungodly amount of money! Then it might be worth it! ;)
Would it be possible to do both? Not full time, what I mean is if you have earned the respect of your current boss perhaps you can do freelance work on your sparetime, that way you can earn even more while gaining valuable experience and adding clips to your portfolio...If it were me though (and I originally dreamed of being a journalist but partied my way out of Arizona State) I would follow the dream...Looking back with my 20/20 hindsight I wonder where I could be today...boohoo, enough about me...just go for it!
