Newbie Here!!

Hi guys! I'm so glad I found this place....I am 24 and currently patiently waiting for approval from my insurance company to have surgery. I've been checking out this site and reading messages its so cool to see people going through the same things i've been or who have been through it and came out successful.  I honestly thought I was just going to go to a few appointments be approved and have my surgery just like that. Now.... I know better.....I'm in my third week of waiting, fingers crossed and nervous...hoping i'm not denied....trying to stay positive.....

Good luck and welcome!!!  The waiting game can be crazy.  Today I go for my last appointment then the request can be sent to my insurance company.  When do you hope to have surgery?

Welcome! Good Luck with Approval.  This site is great for support, I found it a few weeks ago myself and have been very inspired especially by the 20 somethings on this site, everyone is very informative and helpful. So come back and post frequently! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Meg

I hope to have it sometime this summer while I'm off for school. I don't know if that's possible, though....

I totally understand what you are going through...I am also doing the waiting game....ugh...but my surgeon did go ahead and schedule my date for July 16... But insurance...ugh.....
