Hello, I'm new

Hi all, Just wanted to introduce myself.  I'm 27 and hoping to have surgery.  I am meeting with my PCP tomorrow in hopes for a referral to start my process.  Its nice to see others my age taking control of their lives too.  I'm in good company.

Nikkemo, Hi and welcome you are going to love this place! You will find people who will give you great advice and others who are just on to be on but what the heck use this website to your advantage.  I became a member a year ago and I am hooked.  I am also looking to have surgery I am waiting for a date and approval which is the main battle but I believe god is strong and can move mountains.  If you have any questions feel free to write to me. xoxoxo Liliana

Congrats on your steps for WLS. How did you doctors appointment go? This is the first time in my life where I am feeling great about myself and my accomplishments with WLS. I do notice that I am very critical about my body and yet to see the difference in the way I look. Hopefully one day I can see it and have it hit home.  Take it easy! ~Diana~ 

Thank you for asking about my appt.  It was a nightmare.  Kaiser's PCP have no clue what to do when someone requests a referral for their baratric program.  I have to enroll in their Options Orientation class and my PCP was so adamit that I didn't need a referral into the class.  Low and behold, I do.  So since I had already enrolled in the class, without the referral, I am still enrolled and plan on attending orientation.  I have also been on the phone with Kaiser nonstop since friday.  I just want my damn referral. You'd think it would be easy since this is my second request for the referral, it just makes me soo mad.   Nikki
