I hate it I hate it! It is sooo discouraging to see the scale at the same number for the past week. I get in over 80 grams of protein a day, I drink plenty of fluids any more I am going to blow up like a balloon. In addtion, I take all of my vitimans and exercise daily. I am trying to put my body into shock so I can shed more pounds but nothing has worked. I even went as far as only drinking protein and not eating anything. I know I need to be patient but I felt like venting today. I will leave on a good note I have lost 48 pounds in 2 1/2 months. Does that sound about right? Just curious......   Have a nice day! ~Diana~

Congrats on your weight loss!!!!!  I have lost 49 pds in 3 months.  What my doc and nurse told me was... that you are going to lose pounds and you are going to lose inches. Your body is going to plateau from time to time because it is basically readjusting itself.  I have noticed even if i dont lose the pounds.... i am still losing the inches.  Another thing that keeps me going is seeing how much weight i have lost.... and its gone forever!  You are doing fine.... and yes as frustrating as it is... been there, done that.... it too will pass!  Good luck and stay positive.. you are doing absolutely wonderful... take care..... A plateau is when you do not lose pounds or inches for 4 weeks or longer. It is frustrating when the scale doesnt move each week but keep in mind our bodies need breaks and time to adjust. Have you checked your inches?? Sometimes we dont lose pounds but we lose inches. Congrats on 48lbs in 1.5 months... that is a HUGE amount of weight to have lost and Im sure you body is just needing a little rest. There is no shocking the body to shed more pounds... just be patient and know the scale will move again in good time. Its very common to have a weeks where the scale doesnt move... its when you dont lose pounds/inches for 4 weeks or longer you need to put in a call to your NUT to find out whats going on. Keep up all your great work!

Diana, You are right on schedule! I've lost 52lbs and I had surgery the week before you.  In a few days you'll get on the scale and be down 3or 4 lbs, don't stress over it! When have you ever lost this much weight in this short of a time frame? Keep up the good work and don't get discouraged, you right where you supposed to be! Shanna www.GourmetSoyOnline.com

I think you should stop worrying! I lost a lot at first but since it has been a slow constant  loss. in 16 months i have lost 220lbs. sometimes i worry about not stop losing. i know you're not thinking about that now but it goes through my mind. i only weigh myself every month to a month and a half, and i am always about 10lbs liter. you will hit plateaus, but wont worry about them so much if you dont weight urself so much!!
