newbie from texas

Hey everyone! I am so glad to have found this message board! It is good to be in the company of my peers :) My surgery date is 5/2/07.. I am nervous and excited and almost in disbelief that this will work.. did any of you feel that way?? Look me up... I'd love to hear your stories :)

Congrats on your surgery! I feel the same way...I read some of the stories and I can't imagine myself being in that position...60lbs gone in 2 months. WOW! Hard to fathom. But the people here are very inspiring, for me at least.  Good Luck with your surgery!! Kathy

My surgery date is 6/1/07. I am also paying out of pocket (bummer!)--I read your other post where you said you were doing that too. Your date is very soon! I wish you the best of luck. I'm nervous, but also very excited. Both my parents had the surgery in the 80's, so i've seen the benefits of this surgery close up!  Good luck to you and welcome!

Welcome to the Board and congrats on your surgery date!!   I was excited and nervous right up until my surgery.....mostly I was excited.  Excited about the things to come and my new life......well looks like we are in the same area code.  If you want to chat or have questions, feel free to email me.
