Freaking out on the WHAT-IF's....
Whats goin on???
Well, I am now 6 days away from surgery, and getting phone calls and e-mails like crazy. Everyone asking me "are you ready... are you scared..." is really starting to FREAK ME OUT!!! LOL.
I am trying to be calm and think positive, but I am starting to go nuts man...
Anyone out there go through this prior to surgery?????
Thanks in advance,
Steph
I ROCK BABY!
We all do... I wrote a will, made copies of all my financial information, made phone lists of who to contact if something happened to me :) I had some bad dreams pre-op as well. If people asking you if you are ready/scared is making you worse ask them to stop!! My mother drove me nuts (and still is!) pre-op... what if this what if that? You cant live your life worrying about what-ifs is what I would tell her!
Good luck and congrats on your upcomming surgery! Before you know it you will be waking up post-op in your hospital bed.

Well the good thing (also one that BLOWS) is that I have no finances to jot down (single mom...HOLLA)!!!! I am going to make a list of contacts and stuff for the just incase part.
I am glad you said that about your bad dreams. Last night, i was RESTLESS, thinking about everything, FINALLY when i was TRYING to go to bed, i started having bad dreams. I woke up and started singin in my head! LOL. My mom has been really great, supportive all the way, even going on my stupid protein shake diet with me (AWWWW). Thanks for the well wishes b4 surgery, I cannot wait to wake up in my bed post-op baby!
Talk to you soon,
Steph~
I ROCK BABY!
Steph,
Everyone gets this. People are insensitive sometimes. I was going through the same things before surgery.
I did wonderful and made my mind up that I was going to have a positive attitude going in and when I came out. I went home the following day! I said I would not be one of those patients to complain and not get out of bed and I wasn't.
Look on the positive side, your doing something for yourself that will change your life for the better and you should be proud! Everything will go fine and you'll be on the losers bench in no time! Good luck to you!
Remember attitude is everything! Only you know what it feels like to live in your body and stop taking phone calls if it's making you nervous. Take this time to prepare yourself and get in the right frame of mind. Positive vibes coming your way!

Hi Shanna,
Yeah, i think that cutting off phone calls is going to be one of the steps. I have had a positive attitude, but its everyone else putting these thoughts in my head. Thanks so much for your vibes, i can reallllllllllllly use them now! I really appreciate the reply, i am pretty calm today :) LOL... turnin cell off now!
Talk to you on the Losers side...
Steph
