Can I dye my hair?

My hair is thinning, but my grey is coming through BAD!!! If I dye my hair will it all fall out? Has anybody heard if we should or should not dye our hair after surgery? I am four months postop. WHat do you think? Holli

I have never heard of it being a problem, I sure you'd be fine. omg. I hope that My hair doesn't thin too much. I'll be so sad!! U look great!

If your hair has been fine so far Id say no problems. I get my hair done every 8 weeks.

I'm 3 months out and just dyed my hair last night. I have some thick hair though and did notice that some fell out, but not too much to worry about. Good Luck

I dyed my hair at 8 wks post-op with a very gentle dye. Now, I want to be blonde again.....which will involve peroxide. What do you all think about that? I've noticed that I've lost a little more hair than usual when washing it.....but not a whole lot. I have A LOT of hair, so it's no big deal. I was just wondering if the peroxide would fry my already fragile hair? Would appreciate any feedback ;)

My hair was falling out alot, but it seems to be alright now, although thinner than it used to be. I haven't dyed my hair since surgey, but have had to use peroxide in the past... I don't know if I would do it now though. It's really harsh, bleach basicly... maybe wait until your hair is back to normal. Let us know what you decide!!! Hugs, Jacqueline

as long as you remember to use protein treatments in your hair and use a reconstructive shampoo and conditioner.....redken's extreme line is wonderful for chemically treated hair, hope this helps....

Are the protein treatments good for fighting hair loss? I did just dye my hair, but I use all natural vegetable oils hair dye from Whole Foods. I did notice more came out and I did it knowing that my hair was already falling out. I am looking for something to help with the hair loss, I have THin and Fine hair, so the less I lose of it the better. I just hit my 3 months, and all my labs are great. So what else can I do.
