Okay so my doctor told me that hair loss was normal between 3-6 months.............. I am currently 3.5 moths out and have lost about 70 lbs. Okay so when I started losing my hair I was expecting it...... Three weeks later and mounds of hair later.......... MY HAIR IS SO THIN NOW.... I've always been one to have TONS of Thick HAIR so when I was told i would lose hair.. i didn't really care since I thought that I had plenty of it... Will this stop.. is this really normal......... I take my vitamins and consume protein... When will this stop Thanks,,,,,,

Sorry to hear about your hard time I am 6 months out and havent experienced hair loss. When I went to the hairdresser she did comment on the amount of baby hairs growing in but that was about it. Are you taking biotin? As for protein... if you have a range - like 60g-80g - if you are at the lower end of the range go for more protein! Also, are you getting enough fat in your diet? That can effect the hair loss as well. I know people can experience hairloss for about 3-4 months... sometimes longer. Good luck!

It's been 10 months since I had surgery and I am still having hair loss. I have a new hair regimen so I won't go completely bald.

for me, it stopped after 2-3 months of consitantly hitting vitamin, liquid and protein goals. not just for a week, but for more than a month. this too, will pass. trust me. -kari
