YUP!
I think your body gets to a point where it doesnt want to give anything up - so once you feed it more, it realized it can give more up. It has happened several times to me. I will stop losing, then one weekend I will eat everything in the kitchen and lose!
Do you know how many calories you are eating?
Years of dieting beat it into my head that less is better. Even though I eat VERY small amounts (duh) according to everyone else, I've become accustomed to my small portions and sometimes see them as TOO BIG! Crazy I know. So I have to watch myself and eat , eat, eat. I definately have experienced the eat less maintain, eat more lose. It can be hard sometimes to convince yourself that eating more is good for you (even when it is dramatically less than pre-op). Often times the weeks I've thought, "Oh man I blew it" are the weeks are lose the most!
Not sure if any of that made sense,
Mandy
If you eat too little you put your body into "starvation mode"... by eating more you kicked your metabolism up which then started your weight loss again congrats! I have read many posts where people were eating way too little... I think some people get scared post-op to eat or feel they are eating too much. 1200 calories sounds great!
