Hi guys. I have been searching though the forums and I see sooo many people talking about hair loss. Is this maybe because they are older? Or is the "20's" group having the same issues. My hair is getting so long and is in the healthiest shape it has been in in sooooo long, like years. My hair is the one thing I love about myself. It can make or break your appearence. I just wanted to know how my age group is doing with this?

If you look on the site, hair loss is a major major. I can honestly say I am so scared about it, and praying if it does happen to me it is not to noticable...

ITS TRUE! I loss alot - to the point where my sisters would tease me bc they could see my scalp in front. I was always a little thinner in front, but one I loss hair it was alot more noticeable. It all grows back. I think my hair is thicker than before now and I still have new growth coming in after 1-1/2 yrs!

At about 3 months I noticed some hair loss. At 4 months it was coming out really bad (especially in the shower). I'm 7 months out now and it has slowed but I'm still losing a little. I LOVED my hair long, naturally curly gorgeous hair. IT was the one thing I like about myself before surgery. But hey now 108 pounds lighter I like other things about me. I cut my hair off (it looks so much thicker) about 2 months ago. I'm going today for a trim and to try a new color. Just know that it WILL eventually grow back. Mandy

Unfortunately it's true. I love my hair and have always taken very good care of it and around 4 or 5 months I started losing it. It's slowed down a lot but I'm still losing it. I am very grateful that I had very thick hair to begin with. Most people honestly don't even notice unless i tell them or they ask me about all the hair that's caught on my jacket or something LOL! But from what I understand it grows back. My hair still is long and still looks great it's just a little thinner than normal

I'm worried too. It's very hard for me to get my protein in and I'm not even a month post op. I did buy some Nioxin and I will begin that probably in a month or so. It really scares me to lose my hair too
