Question for the ladies ...
I am 2 1/2 months post-op from lap RNY. Weight loss has been extremely good, 65 lbs. But next week is that "time of the month". I have noticed on the scale that this week I have gained 2 lbs. That scares the crap out of me!!!!
Has anyone experienced this??? Did anyone's weight loss stop during that "time of the month".
The funny thing is that last month it did not do anything to my weight loss but slow it down. Not GAIN!!

I am 6 1/2 months post op and my period's have been very crazy and irregular I think I have only had three ( maybe two since surgery ) I remember once I stayed stuck at the weight I was at when it started. But another time I gained a little, don't worry I lost it when my body got back to normal. I wouldn't be worried. Even pre-op most of us will gain a lil weight during that time ;) Also congrats on such a great weight loss for the past 2 months!!! Your doing awesome!!!
Hugs,
Jacqueline
I remember being on low carb diets while i was PMS about to get my period. I wouldn't lose anything at all, and sometimes I would gain some weight.
As soon as I was halfway through my period, I would drop 7 pounds!
Menstration causes everything to slow down a little.
So don't worry! As soon as your period is over you'll be good to go!

The scale does funny things. I still weigh myself every morning. Today it was 5lbs more than it was yesterday but then I realized I ate a vege pizza which was probably loaded with salt. It isnt like I gained 5lbs of fat in 1 day... dont worry too much about it. I record my weight once we week, on Mondays... other wise I just weigh myself daily just "to know".
I have had my period for about a week and a half now and the scale is STUCK! I am 6 weeks post op. It is driving me bonkers. I am attributing it to my period. I am going to get a membership at the gym on the 30th and I hope that will help. I will let you know when I start loosing again, and if this happens again next month.
