Hi everyone!

Hello everyone! I am new to this site and just thought I'd introduce myself. :) I'm 22 years old (23 in march) and a graduate student on Long Island going for my MS in Science education (have my BS in Biology), while I work for my school's Athletic Communications office. I am on track to have the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass hopefully by mid-January if all gets approved by the insurance. I would have done it sooner, but I needed the 6 month diet history stuff, but since I started seeing a nutritionist in June, I have lost 30 lbs...not too bad for someone who has had a tough year! haha Well, I hope to talk to some of you soon! Welcome Beth!!!! You've accomplished so much already! I'm still working on my AS and Transfering and I'm 22, 23 in March also! Awesome awesome awesome!

Congrats to you so far and good luck!!! I lost 40lbs pre-op waiting to get thru all the insurance BS and to me it made a WORLD of difference with my surgery. Its great that youve gotten a jump start on your weightloss Ill save you a seat on the losers bench!
