I would be REALLY carefull during the first few months after surgery. If your not in any pain now, I wouldn't worry too much, but that doesn't mean you should do it again! Hugs, Jacqueline

Keep in mind you had MAJOR surgery and you are HEALING! The biggest reason for the liquids is so you can heal... also food can get stuck in the suture line. Im sure you didnt hurt your pouch but make sure you keep following surgeons orders!

If you arent in pain - then you probably didnt hurt yourself. As long as you chewed it to mu**** probably wasnt as big of a deal as some may think. I was on soft foods at 2 weeks which basically meant anything I could chew to applesauce consistancy.

oh lord be careful! i thought that i could eat solids too....then i tried, and it was ok. a few weeks later, i was in so much pain, i wanted to die! turns out, the first couple months have to be softer foods because you can irritate all the internal incisions. thats what i did, and had to go back on a stupid liquid diet. blah. there went my sauteed veggies, steak, and chunky stews..but in the end, i felt much better. be careful, and listen to the pouch.
