New to forum

Hello all. I thought it might be fun to start posting over here some, as there aren't that many 20 something WLS patients. (Although I'm sure there are more than I know.) I'm Amy. I started researching WLS when I was 23 and was approved, had surgery three months after turning 24, and now I'm 25. I had the Duodenal Switch in Nashville on December 19th, 2005. I was 285 lbs with a BMI of 51 at that time and I'm now 186 lbs. I currently live in west Tennessee and I'm in my fourth year teaching special education. Nice to "meet" you all.

Hello All, I'm new to OH as well. My name is Tia and I'm 25y/o. I'm currently 308lbs and am waiting for a date to have surgery. I hope that it is in the next couple of months.. I'm so anxious and scared at the same time. I've never felt like this before. Well, I'm glad I found this forum b/c I just went to a support group and hardly anyone was in their 20s. It's good to know that you're not alone Tia
