New, unfortunately

Hello! I'm new here...and probably should NOT have waited this long! I'm almost 3 years out and am still struggling with new identity issues. Is anyone else in this boat?

Hi Whitney. I'm only 4 months out BUT I can remember before surgery thinking...."I will not be one of those people who still sees themselves as big even though I've lost weight. I'm gonna know it, own, and be proud of it." Well now that I've gone from 332 to 249 in 4 months I am that person. I look in the mirror and I look the same to me. PICTURES are the only real way I can see my differences and clothes size. So even though I'm not in the SAME boat as you, I kind of understand what you mean. Mandy

same here pics are the only way i can tell what i have lost, i feel the same!
