First Consultation

Hellllo Everyone!! So, I finally got a call from my surgeon's office. I went to an information session for Dr. Cohen down here in South Florida. I did some research on Dr. Cohen as well as his colleague Dr. Bass. It turns out Dr. Bass used to perform bariatric surgery in Altoona, Pennsylvania, and that is where my ENTIRE family is from. So i thought it was nice sign. So I received a call from Tiffany, she was super nice, and it turns out she was Dr. Bass's wife.. too funny.. SO she scheduled me for my first consultation on September 19.. I'm nervous.. but excited.. AHH!! lol She said after that we will schedule all of the appointements for the psychologist and the nutritionist. So its my first real step in the journey.. Hope everyone is good!

Congratulations on getting that step complete! I know what its like to be so happy to get something else out of the way! I just had my consults with the dietician and social worker. Things can go by pretty quickly and you're absolutely stunned at the pace things are going. I wasnt expecting to get this far this fast, my first consultation was Aug 17th. But it makes me happy! Congrats on getting things started. You'll be amazed how quickly things will happen. Just make sure you get all your ducks in a row first. I knew exactly what my INsurance company wanted and I went after it. I made sure every T was crossed and dotted every i. The whole process only took about 2 months. Good Luck!
