Please allow me to introduce myself....

My name is Kristin, I'm 24 and currently live in the Bay Area in California. I haven't gotten the surgery yet, or even had the first consultation with MY surgeon. But I've gotten the medical clearance, the psych evaluation, and have begun a diet and stopping smoking (I find this to be the hardest one of all). I am hovering right around 400 right now. I don't know why I waited so long to finally make this decision. I basically felt alright until I had a pulmonary embolism earlier this year which almost killed me. They didn't say it was related to my weight, but I know now I just feel too tired and exhausted to even carry my body around. It's really difficult to do stuff..w.hich is very hard for me since I'd always been a very active person. enough of the whining for now. Hello....I've been lurking at the board here for a little bit and I wanted to finally introduce myself. I've got some pictures and things in my profile.

Welcome to the board Kristin! I'm 22 and was 393 at my initial consult in December... at surgery 382. Congrats on quitting smoking and chargin ahead on your tests- it won't be long now, you'll be a loser! Good luck!
