Almost 7 months out and fighting chocolate cravings
Hi all. I am amost 7 months out and have lost 75 lbs. I want to lose 44 more lbs. I am finding that I crave chocolate. I started out eating 1 SF piece here and there, then that started to make me dump, so I decided to try a reg. piece and had a Hershey choc bar (mini) and that did not make me dump. I notice that I want more and more of it though. I have only given in once and had more than I should and boy did I know it- b/c I dumped big time. Even though it made me sick and will make me sick, I still crave it. How do you deal with the cravings? I need some advice and to know that I am not alone. Thanks!
Carla
If you find yourself overdoing it, probably the best thing is to stop altogether. Maybe you could have a half a cup of sf chocolate ice cream or something? Or maybe you need a little caffiene?
If I crave something that bad, I try and have a little of it so I don't rampage through the house eating other stuff 'in place of' what I am craving, but if having a little just makes the craving worse, your body probably wants something else..
The first thing I do to fight cravings is to avoid having it in the house all together. If my craving gets bad enough for me to go out and get something I make sure to just buy one bag. After purchasing the bag I give at least half of it to a friend. I have been wanting something sweet all week, lol, so I know how you feel. Hope this might help

Adora cali****upplements taste just like chocolate chips to me. They are little disks of chocolate. I have only tried the dark chocolate and they are great! http://www.adoracalcium.com/
Enjoy!
Hi,
I am new to this board but just wanted to post. I am 2 years out post op and i started eating sweets at 6 months. You know thanksgiving isn't thanksgiving without the pie. I love it. I dump on splenda so that didn't help anything. I did however eat the hell out of candybars for 2 months and never did gain weight. I actually lost quite a bit which was good. I hope now you are over it but just wanted to let you know that i did go through it too.
