Well I took my first step!

I went to the seminar yesterday to my hopefully soon to be dr! He is very smart. I felt at ease (which is amazing because i had been knawing at my fingernails all day from my nerves). I got all my questions answered and have decided that RNY would be for me. Question is...will my insurance company think so. It doesn't start until aug 1st, but I want to get all my ducks in a row so to speak so that when that time comes they send in the pre d and we wait. In a perfect world I would have the surgery by my anniversary (sep 26th). I can't wait, just felt it necessary to share it with the world.

Hi Jaqueline, I am at the same stage of the surgery process as you are. I've already gone to the seminar. Now I'm just waiting for my medical group to approve (hopefully) my referral to see the surgeon for an evaluation. Hopefully the process will go quickly for both of us. Take Care, Wendy
