newbie... excited to have found you all!
Hey there...
I'm Erin, a soon-to-be 29 year old chica living in Maine. 
I hadn't found this board until today and I am SO glad to be able to talk with people closer in age to me than most of the people I've met at support group meetings and the like.
Anyway, I'm 5'4'', 270ish pounds, and at the beginning of my WLS journey. My PCP just sent in my referral to the local Bariatric Surgery Center last week and I should be getting a packet of information and forms from them soon... I'm getting excited.
What else... hmm... I'm a mom to a 16 month old through adoption, and I'm partnered to a great woman I've known for six years. I'm planning on lap RNY and hoping to have surgery before my son turns 2 in February.
Anyway, just saying hello! For the post ops -- any advice as I begin this process?? Oh,and one more thing -- I'd love to email with someone around my age/weight who's in the same part of their journey as I am... anyone interested???

Hi Erin! Well, I am 5'4", 240-250 (veries depending on the day!), I'm 20 and also at the begining of my journey. I have had my PCP appointment, my first nurse appointment and one psych visit...all in the matter of a week! I also have a 7 month old daughter. If you would like to keep in touch I would love to! I hope you come to love these boards as much I do!
My mom had surgery almost a year ago so she is kind of my open bank of knowledge. But, like you I would like to connect with someone at the same stages as me...not a year ahead! Hope we get to know each other better!
