Hi i have a ? that has been dancing around in my mind for a while now and i need an answer please.. How soon after surgurey did you feel up to having sex again.. My husband is deployed and will be home for two R &R about 20 days after my surgurey and i need to know if I am safe in this dept.. Sorry to be crude but i havent seen him in 6 months and when he leaves i wont see him for another 9 months sooooo.. can anyone help me?

Jillian, I do not have any information for you, I am wondering the same thing. My hospital instructions said to wait 4 weeks until you can have sexual intercourse and I am at 3 weeks. So I will be watching this post too so see what people say who have been there and done that. If I dont hear anything - then I will post it on the main message board and see if I get any bites.

Hi Jillian, I'm now a little over 2 months out and to be honest, I had sex about a week and a half after. I mean not any thing hot and heavy but enough to satisfy my thirst if you know what I mean. If you have Laprascopic then you'll be good to go because the stiches aren't nearly as bad as open. In my own OPINOIN, you'll be ok, good to go!! GOOD LUCK!! ~Nancy 267/226/145

my doc didn't say a time limit. jus****ch my body and be careful aat about 2 weeks my pain was gone so we had a 'gentle' session.. no pressure on my belly etc.

I heard in the Sex Before and After WLS that most of them did it when they were ready to do it, and nothing rough just to get u what u want for awhile till u are all healed up, good luck, and have lots of FUN haha

I waited about 2 or 3 weeks. The only thing, like others have said, not pressure on the belly. Make sure you do it in positions where your tummy is getting contact.
