Hi I am new here but I am already approved for my surgery I have been trying for a long time to get it approved i am 20 years old will be 21 in September I will be having my surgery it less than two weeks. But I wanted to ask a question for all of you out there who is around my age and see how you did with loose skin. All together i need to loose about 150-160 pounds. But for you who have had gastric bypass how is your skin? Is the skin around your arms and stomach and legs and even your chest area(can we say boobs on here) lol. But anyway just wanted to know about your alls experience so i will know what to be looking for. thanks so much your comments and responses would be appreciated.

Everybody is different! Drinking your water and working out will definately help your skin. I havent had surgery yet but my friend did 4 years ago... she went from 380 to 180 (shes now 29). She has a little loose skin on her tummy (looks like somebody who had a baby)... her arms and legs are still pretty large but that is where she carried her weight. The skin there isnt hanging because its still fatty... she will have to have surgery to correct. As for me, I carry my weight in my stomach... my arms are ok but I know I will have loose skin and my legs - not too sure. I lost 100lbs on my own before and my worst area was my stomach. I recently bought Niveas Q-10 firming lotion and it has helped some. I also started doing light weights to build up some muscle which also helps tighten the skin some. Being young is definately a plus!
