new member

I have only been exploring OH for a couple of day's now and I just wanted to introduce myself. I am 27 years old and hoping to have surgery. I just started my pre-op appointments this week. It seems since I started this I have become consumed by it. Will my insurance approve me, will I be OK,... Its pretty crazy. I guess my main concern is the insurance. It's already making me anxious sitting around and waiting and going on appointments without having any idea if they are going to accept me. I am from New York and I have BCBS Direct HMO. Any advice or experience shared is appreciated. Thanks for all your posts, reading them has been extremely helpful.... Vanessa

Vanessa, Welcome!! Hope my email didn't freak you out or worry you. BCBS was great to me they approved me in one day. Make sure your primary has good documentation of you trying to loose weight. Talk to you soon! Michelle

This site was a lifesaver for me! I've enjoyed meeting new people and sharing experiences here! I'd advise you to keep coming back... learn all you can, I often spend my time in the Chat room here on OH.... I've made a lot of friends there!
