Fix it.
My long term from an undiagnosed: Started as sick belly, pain, acid constantly, vomit everything, vomit acid, acid holes in stomach, acid thru staple line, strangulation and blockage, malnutrition, neuropathy in legs until couldn't walk, in hands and couldn't hold a spoon, teeth broke from months of vomiting acid, weighing 114 pounds at 5'9".
So many complications!
I am waiting to go to the Hospital, right now for #3. Was told in October I needed it, but it popped back in. It's been 3 bad weeks, but didn't want to miss my sons Prom.

I don't see an update, and hope things went well. I was where you are. If you need to chat, I'm here.

Nine years out for me and no, I cannot vomit either. Bouts of food poisoning, stomach virus, etc., mean I spend hours with a waste basket, but spitting. You get used to it after a while.

Are the drugs your only option? I'm not being judgmental here -- honestly -- I had a three-level spinal fusion in November 2008 and still occasionally take oxycodone, but it's effective for me and I've never felt the need to take more and more and more. Obviously, I can't take NSAIDs, like you. What I do, when the pain gets out of control, is acupuncture. I know a lot of people think needles are scary, and lots of folks think this can't possibly be an effective pain control method, but I swear by it. If you've never tried it, I recommend you give it a shot. I know I'm a lot happier when I'm not taking pain pills. They are there when I need them, and for that I'm grateful.

I will be 4 years out in November and still
am on Prilosec. I haven't found anything to work. Dr told me there was a chance it could be life long. He was right. I didn't want bypass at the time. Other then that have zero regrets.

I'm loosing at a slower then average pace but its still coming off pretty steady at 8-10lbs a month. The first few months were good but now its all about loosing 2ish pounds a week. I'm over half way to my goal so I'm happy with my weight loss.
