You have my full support and prayers.  I'm working against a sluggish thyroid to lose 15.  We will do this!

These posts are encouraging.  I am 6 years out and obsessed with not regaining. I have a thyroid problem and am working to lose 15lbs that I've gained in the past year due to the meds.

I can SOOOO relate to you!!! The first five years after surgery was awesome.  Now Ive gained 60 pounds back & feel absolutely miserable.  I feel like my pouch is not working properly but I also have to be accountable for my terrible food choices.  Lets work together to get these extra pounds gained OFF AGAIN :) I believe in both of us!

I can relate to all the posts on this thread.  I am a little over 4 years out and have been maintaining great.  I made a huge mistake and started smoking about 1.5 years ago after being smoke free for 10 years.  Well I decided time to stop AGAIN and its been 1 month tomorrow.  Problem being is my snacking has gotten horrible and have a 10 pound weight gain.  Addiction is horrible, now trying to reel it back in and hoping to get back on the healthy positive wagon.  I know what has to be done and I feel awful that I put myself in this situation.

JA ~ Now is the time to get those 8 lbs. off before it becomes 10, 12, 20 or more.  It's too bad weight is so easy to come back to us.  Go back to basics.  Get rid of any junk food in your house.  Put Y-O-U first.  I'll be 8 years out in July and I have had some regain.  I got sloppy with snacking.  I am working at getting off those excess lbs.  I lost 1.8 lbs. this week.

Get yourself a little notebook and plan your meals plus track everything you eat.  There are a lot of programs out there to track for you.

Good luck.  I agree with another responder to look at other boards here.  There is a lot of good information here.

HI. I was wondering how you are doing now? I had a lap band for 7 years, and surgeon removed it 6 weeks ago due to esophageal blockage and pain. I lost @50 lbs and kept it off. But right now I am losing more weight since I have problems eating solid foods. Been on liquid protein shakes only for about 2 months now. Hope you are feeling better.

You don't need to explain. If you feel the need say the doctor. I doubt your boss would ask more. If HE does tell him Gynecologist! He'll never pry again.

Absolutely!

I have had many complications with acid. Bleeding ulcer that irrupted thru stool, then vomiting huge blood clots for 2 days. A lot of bile vomiting, acid in the back of my throat. Then tmj and they are breaking in my sleep, then on toast. Mine started at 8 years out. It started with 1 tooth, then all of my enamel.

See, yet another complication.
