I'm really sorry to hear that I can't imagine how devasta ting and frustrating a process this has been for you

Are you in a position to sue your previous surgeon? Will you be going ahead with corrective surgery or another plan of action?

Wishing you all the best.

Do you take a vitamin C suppliment?

I have had HUGE issues with vitamin C suppliments. I use to take 1000 mg and had terrible issues with heartburn. To the point that I was taking OTC prilosec 3 times a day, and eating a role of tums. When I stopped taking the C....it took a good week......but the heartburn started to go away.

I'm a few months out from stopping the C and the heartburn is almost completely gone.

I know this isn't an issue for everyone, but it goes to show you that something that could be "ok" for everyone else may cause you issues. A food log could be helpful....try an elimination diet -basically you go to almost nothing but protein shakes or something bland and start adding foods back in to try an figure out if something is setting you off.

Topic: RE: Dry Vitamin D? Need clarifcation
I believe it would depend on your surgery. If your surgery has malabsorption, that is likely not going to be enough D. I have the DS. I take 100K of dry D a day and that keeps me in the normal range..and it has kept me in the normal range for the last decade.

The only way you know if your supplementation is enough is to get regular blood work.

I purchase my D from biotech or Vitalady.

You sounds like me sometimes when I am driving it hits out of nowhere. I apply pressure as I stand and stretch upwards. I had my gastric sleeve 2013. I had similar pain prior to the surgery but not this intense.

What someone told me is they used to think fat people were not smart enough to remember it was after meals so they said before and after to make it easy.  There is no reason not to drin****il you eat your first bite.

I was told to stop drinking thirty minutes before a meal for the first few weeks after surgery, but once I was at my three-month appt, they told me I could start drinking right up to a meal, but then wait sixty minutes after instead of thirty.  Maybe because I was eating solid food then?  Not sure.  But I'm still doing that.

I have always drank right up to a meal, and wait 30 minutes after.

I don't tnink there is any reason to stop drinking 30 minutes before, it doesn't take that long for liquid to pass out of your pouch

The vitamin D in this should be ok. It isn't oil-based.

How often do you take this? To get enough calcium, it should be 3 times a day.

Even at that, most people need a lot more D3 than this. But the only way to tell is by having your labs checked, AND seeing if you have a trend, over time, of your D going up or down.
