Weird and unusual pain isn't that uncommon for us folk with altered guts but it's always best to get it looked at.

It takes about two weeks to get over the craving.  The longer you go without the easier it gets.  It is an addiction like any other addictions.  I suggest reading Dr Adkins new diet revolution and check out "That Sugar Film"

Topic: RE: Enlarged sleeve and possible revision surgery!

I thought I had responded to this before, but I guess I didn't.

I had my surgery in 2008, and after hitting goal, I hit bottom in my life and went from 145 back to 235.

On 15OCT16, I was where you are.  I talked to my surgeon.  He told me to get a barium swallow and EGD, and send him the results for evaluation.  Meanwhile, I decided to get back into the swing and on the wagon.

Since the 15th of October, I have lost 22 pounds.  During my EGD today, I got to see a tiny, perfectly pink, VSG tummy.

If you haven't delved back into the post-surgical diet????

I know I am extremely addicted to sugar. But, boy do I have a hard time letting it go! I love my coffee creamer, my sweet treat my snacks. How did you guys just give it all up. I'm afraid to give up sugar because I don't want to end up binging later on down the road. What helps you guys?

Sorry you are having issue's! Maybe try and post this question on the RNY forum? It looks a little more active and with having the same surgery as you might be more help. But as for myself I tend to live by the 'when in doubt, have it checked out' when it comes to possible problems for surgery. Hope all gets resolved for you.

Why would you keep gaining weight? Everyday people lose weight with normal stomachs, why can't you? I would be more understanding if you were gaining rapidly, for no reason and had a bmi over 35 ( I don't know how tall you are). I'm 160 at 5' 5" and my lowest weight was 135. I have started tracking what I eat and working out, I wouldn't just automatically lean towards surgery after only gaining 20 or so pounds.

Topic: Pain
Hello all, I am concerned and need to know if what i am experiencing is normal. I am 10 years post op. When eating lunch or dinner I get pain in chest between breast bones, it takes my breath away. It is like that ugly full feeling you get and know it is time to stop, but it happens fast like after a couple bits of food. My question is is it normal to be 10 years out and have this happen. Am I doing something wrong, Or is it something that I should get looked at. It does not happen all the time. I am able to snack but sometimes meals are just too much Hellp!!!!
