I just passed my 6 year surgiversary, and had regained almost 60 pounds (of 105 lost). I knew what I should be eating, but I couldn't make myself stick to it. I've finally found an online coaching program that's helping me work through the mental / emotional reasons I overeat and binge on sweets and carbs (and how to stop doing it!) 20 pounds of regain lost so far, and for the first time in years I have hopes of getting my skinny clothes out of boxes and back in my closet.
I'm off all sugar and non-veggie carbs (I know that works wonders for me, I just needed the help sticking to it!) Part of the program is intermittent fasting as well. I never thought I could do that, but it turns out it's not that hard, and is really helping me regain that feeling of restriction with smaller meals. My current fasting regimen is two meals in a 6-7 hour eating window and 17-18 hours fasting. Still tweaking that, as I'm not sure I'm getting enough protein in (averaging 50-60 grams / day).
I am 68 and 14 years out. Lost 128 lbs and have struggled with 20 lbs the last 12 years. Lose it, gain it. But I still feel great not carrying around that extra ð?'¯ lbs. always drink unjury, take vitamins and keep a daily log keeps me on track.
There is a difference between a gel cap dissolving and your body having the enzymes to breakdown gelatin or vegetable cellulose coating.
You can have an non-allergic hypersensitivity reaction to either of these substances if you don't have sufficient enzymes to digest them...
I know! I feel so gigantic some days even if I am exactly the same weight I was the day before and felt great about. 1 or 2 lbs and I am freaked out. My grandkids will play games about it and tell me my shirt looks tight and I start freaking out and they all go into a fit of laughter because I think I am getting fat. LOL
I had my RNY in 2003. I lost over 150 pounds. I have gained and lost 20 pounds over the last 14 years. I've gone through several stressful situations in my life including a divorce. I too am finding I have no support locally. I had my surgery 100 miles away from my home. I'm looking for a way to restart my weight loss. I would love to find others who are in the same situation as I and would like to support each other.
I had a medical procedure done that was extremely expensive. My girlfriend had a similar procedure around the same time. Her doctor charged a substantial amount less than my doctor. After that I asked my clinic finance department how much things cost before I have anything done. I don't buy a piece of furniture without shopping around. Why shouldn't I check out costs of medical visits and labs? Now I have an $8000 deductible so visits, labs and medications are paid for with my cash. Tri

You survived what you thought would kill you. Now straighten your crown and go forward like the Queen you are!
while drinking the hot lemon water, are we still running back and forth to the restroom like itis when we take lasix?
Ask about injectafer (2 weeks apart, 30 minute bag drip) worked great for me and way less reactions than traditional infusions and way quicker.
Dear H.A.L.A B.
Thank you for your very detailed post!
I have learned throughout this process that nothing happens overnight and when you fall you just get back up and look at the failure as a learning tool and keep it moving from there.
I am going to print out your eating plan and follow it, modify a bit if I need to, for me.
Awesome job ! And thank you for letting me know what worked/works for you!
