They are used after plastic surgery, to reduce swelling and promote healing I don't think they alone help with the skin issue, but plastic surgery does :)

Wow I got an answer!!! I will write more later because I am going to a friend's house for break-fast!! My surgery was 2008 and I gave maintained 120 pound weight loss for 6 years!!! NO REGAIN! I refused !! I maintain my weight between 107-110! I was blessed!!
