Thank you! Yikes so costly! I would love to have it removed, but the costs seems so extreme. I have heard from some who say you can shrink the skin and some who say you can't after such extreme weight loss so I guess I will just keep working at it and if not then maybe down the road plastics may be a better option when I can afford it..lol Thanks for the advice! :)
Thank you! It definately hasn't been easy maintaining it that's for certain. Maybe I will just keep at working out for now as I have heard sometimes it can take a couple of years to achieve results. The costs just seem so high unfortunately. I appreciate the info. :)
Good for you for losing the regain!! Plastic surgery costs can vary greatly depending on where you live. Residency programs are the most inexpensive. I had my arms done in 2009 and it cost me $3900. I have seen them run as high as $15000. For my arms, I took 2 weeks off work. I was doing pretty well by day 10. Good luck!!

I'm back as well...hoping to lose 35 pounds that I've regained by denial and the resumption of poor habits. Menopause, stress, two part time jobs, you name it I've got an excuse for it...but there it is. I too find the newbie pages intolerable...I spent lots of time on there for four years..first learning...then contributing. Now my needs are different....like all if you. Daily presence here. Food logging...back to helping my body rather than loathing myself. Love you guys. We still have this gift.....my 54 the birthday is this weekend. I'm lucky to see it. That is something I can't forget!

Congrats on managing your regain. I'm there now after being ridiculously fit for a few years (2part time jobs and stress have derailed me). No amount of exercise will address your skin. And after six years its not likely that you will experience any further natural shrinkage. Surgery is your only recourse. I had the big three. Lower body lift, brachiaplasty (arms) with breast augmentation and medial thigh. Did them all within six months. $$30,000. I'm in the northeast....prices are higher.

I'm so happy for you! I think I will check out the site you mention.
Hi,
I am new to all of this. My story sounds exactly like Cherina's except I do not have a revision planned. I didn't even know that was an option. I am a little over 7 years out and started at 325 lbs. My lowest weight was 167 and now I am back up to 193. I didn't make it totally to my goal weight because I got pregnant about 10 months after surgery at the ripe ole age of 40, which was a blessing considering we tried for over 12 years. But I was satisfied with the weight I had lost because I felt good. Now I'm pushing 200 lbs again and can't fit into any of my 'bigger' clothes and am just not feeling good about myself. I have no energy, my clothes aren't fitting and I feel like I can't get enough to eat especially at night. After surgery I did attend support group for a bit but it was a two hour drive one way and just couldn't keep doing it. I would love to be included in this group for support. I'm under Dawnna Filkins in Illinois on facebook.

hi, I just read this post and I too am ijn the same boat! I had open gastric bypass in 2001 and beginning with year 2 or so I started gaining. I am at 190 right now and holding there unforutnetly. I do have a questine for anyone who can answer...........I have a soft buldge between my belly button and my breast area. idk how else to explain it. it is a slight bit high on one side. when I suck in my lower stomach it is a noticeable buldge. when I stand and am dressed u can tell it is there also. Could this be a hernia? It isn't hard or anything/ I did make an appointment with dr for last this month but would like someones opinon that has regains weigth as I had thought this might be the pouch expanding and causing it to look this way. this is the lastest of problems. I have had numerous defincies and in general feel horrible,. Thanks for any opinions!
Hi-
I have not posted in ages but I am four years out and up 25 lbs from my lowest (I originally lost 200lbs) and it has me crazy. I too have gone back to a low carb diet. My issue is not as much what I eat but lack of exercise. My work life is crazy and I am in the last stages of my MBA. All of this said, I reconnected with my pre-surgery bariatric therapist and see her now every two weeks. She is helping me with the psychological aspects and how to think more positively---not to accept the gain but not beat myself up over it either. I am increasing my water intake and trying to take stairs vs. elevators etc.
What I find strange is that I seem to be harder on myself now than I was before surgery. I am also working with my therapist on that as well. I continualy have issues between what the scale says, what my clothing size says and what I SEE in the mirror---as there are large discrepancies.
I don't have any enlightening news but know you are not a lone and it is a journey.
Best-
