Congrats! I see you had Dr. Ferrari too! I had him as well. He's so amazing! I am 4 years out. I have used Dr. Tiffany Burns myself for the last 5 years, I started going to her because she had knowledge of gastric bypass, shes been amazing and understanding, however I am going to have to find a new primary as she is on the NW side at Methodist off of FM 1960, Willowbrook. Not sure your location you are looking for.
Hi Niecey, I would say there's not a lot of activity at BOTT, but there's some and maybe we can drum up more! All of us who have regained and are working to get back on track, and there are MANY of us, should start posting more regularly and encouraging others to do the same. Let's get BOTT, support one another, and share our progress.
I had that issue about two months Post-OP (roux-N-Y). I would get hungry, but when I put anything in my mouth, I would gag and almost vomit. It got so bad, I was losing too much weight too fast. I had to have a shunt put in and go on liquid nutrition. I praise God for my wife who kept after me to keep trying and eventually I got over it. I lost a total of 285 lbs in 14 months and actually had to gain about 30 lbs back, but have maintained it and I am still below my marriage weight for the last 10 years (BTW been married 41 years)
Hi, I read your post. Were you able to get your issue diagnosed? I am I'll right now, hurting in my back And burning in my abdomen.
I am 12 years out and have gained back about 75 out of 100 lbs lost. My original bariatric dr. no longer does the surgery. I went to him about 2 years or so after my surgery and he said "Sorry it didn't work for you." He shook my hand and said "Good Luck". Had an Endoscopy done recently by another bariatric dr and he said my pouch is fine. I asked if I had stretched it out and he said not much. So, at this point, all I can do is go back to basics.
Congrats! I am coming up on my 5 year anniversary soon also :)
keep up the awesome job!

They cannot just sew the wound back together. I would think an assistant would know that. They just need to let it heal on it's own.
I had a small hole on my lbl incision line. My doctor said if it got any bigger he could staple on either side to stop it from opening any more. It did close in 2 weeks just as he said it would. For some people, a wound vac is needed to clean out the wound so it can heal.
